Since 1949 NASCAR has had a long and rich history. From the early vision of Bill France Sr. NASCAR has grown to the biggest motorsport series in North America.
In 2012 NASCAR has scheduled over 30 races around the USA. The first race is at Daytona in Feb.
Since 2004 the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship has been decided by a playoff system called The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Sometimes this is called simply the Chase for the Cup.
For the last 10 races of the season, all drivers in the top twelve in points qualify for The Chase. It provides an exciting finish to the season and is usually decided on the final race of the year.
The Daytona 500 is NASCAR’s signature event and kicks off the new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Daytona International Speedway recently celebrated its historic 50th running and is a dream event for any NASCAR fan.
Auto Racing Tours will again be taking travellers to the event and provide accommodation, tickets and transfer.
